Signed and Sealed in Blood,cel mai recent material discografic semnat Dropkick Murphys a fost lansat in Ianuarie 2013 si a urcat rapid pe locul 9 in Billboard Album Chart.Daca ati mai ascultat Dropkick Murphys pana acum,stiti ca sunt o trupa care,contrar aparentelor sunt originari din Massachusetts si nu din Irlanda sau Scotia si ca sunt unii din putinii care au reusit sa se afirme cantant muzica Celtica impletita cu Rock si Punk.Daca nu ati mai ascultat aceasta trupa pana azi,ati face bine sa incepeti de aici.Unde ati putea gasi un loc mai bun?Spre rusinea mea,spun ca nu i-am descoperit nici eu de prea mult timp,iar pentru asta le multumesc producatorilor Sons of Anarchy si oricui s-a ocupat cu muzica in acest serial.

“Rose Tattoo” a fost primul single lansat de pe Signed and Sealed in Blood,pe 31 August 2012 pe pagina oficiala a trupei.Alaturi de anuntul lansarii,trupa isi ruga fanii sa-si faca tatuaje cu coperta albumului,devenita noul logo al trupei-toate acestea au aparut in videoclip-ul melodiei.In 2013,in cadrul unui eveniment-tribut pentru victimele atentatelor cu bomba de la maratorul din Boston ,trupa a interpretat “Rose Tattoo” alaturi de Bruce Springsteen,cantecul ajungand pe locul 25 in Rock Songs Chart.Albumul a reprezentat de asemenea un succes in vanzari-in Septembrie 2013 erau inregistrare 107.000 copii vandute,devenind astfel unul dintre cele mai profitabile materiale discografice ale trupei.

Dupa cum v-am spus mai sus,am descoperit Dropkick Murphys cu ajutorul serialului meu de suflet,Sons of Anarchy,cand,in perioada in care toata actiunea s-a mutat in Irlanda unde Jax isi cauta fiul,au folosit “Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya’”,o melodie traditionala,care a fost “modificata” si in viziunea lor,pe langa alti multi artisti,devenind un cantec foarte energic,muraturile si melodia asta sigur te-ar putea scoate din orice betie.”Rose Tattoo”,pe de alta parte,desi are acelasi tempo pe care,e o regula,trebuie sa dai din picior daca reusesti sa te stapanesti din fredonat,mi se pare o melodie extrem de emotionanta,atat datorita versurilor cat si imaginilor bine alese si montate din videoclip.Imi place la nebunie ca pot asculta un cantec cu influente de acest gen,parca scos de undeva dintr-un magazin cu CD-uri lansate acum 30 de ani,”vechi” de doar doi de fapt.Sper,doar,sa nu-si schimbe stilul niciodata.
